Inflation inches further to 7.61 per cent

Continuing its upward journey, inflation inched up to 42-month high of 7.61 per cent for the week ended April 26 on the back of rising prices of tea, spices, fruits, vegetables and some manufactured products. Despite the war unleashed by the government and the RBI to check price rise, the wholesale price-based index rose 0.04 percentage points from 7.57 per cent in the previous week.

IMA signs endorsement Deal with PepsiCo, invites widespread criticism
